When I started “The Chai Guy,” it wasn’t to “start a business,” it wasn’t to build a “brand,” it didn’t come out of a focus group… This business grew out of love for Chai and the simple joy an authentic cup of Chai brings when we wake up, when we meet with friends, as we go about our day, and as we cap off our night…the seeds of Chai were sown in my heart while I was in India, the work to make it taste the way it does was done here, and the opportunity to share it with you all is a great joy…as always, we brew for YOU!
My face, goofiness, weirdness, selfies, and Chai obsession is posted all over my social media platform; but there is one person, without which, none of this would be possible…and I would not be “The Chai Guy” or be where I am today…My wife Colleen is organized, detailed, thoughtful, loving, caring, supportive, encouraging and a faithful friend…We have been on mountain tops and we have been through hellish dark valleys, and through it all, with love and grace, we push forward hand in hand…so today’s post is simply to spotlight the one I love, the one who has my heart, the one I dream with, and the one who has blessed me with her being her more than she knows…this picture was our date night at Park Ave before we opened the doors.
Thanks for stopping by,
Pat Tharp, The Chai Guy
